McKnight Charity Game
What?
Every year since we have timed out of McKnight hockey, we have played a scrimmage 2 times a year with all ex McKnight players to keep everyone in touch. With everything opening back up we wanted to get everyone back on the ice for another charity game.
Last year we spent some time trying to figure out which charity we would like to donate to, and we came up with the idea to help a McKnight family. With the harsh economic impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has made it even more difficult for families to afford an already expensive sport. Last year we raised over $2100 and helped 4 families that would otherwise not have been able to play hockey!
Why?
Both of us grew up playing in McKnight, and met second year novice. After timing out we continued to coach within the McKnight hockey association for the past 3 years.
We have always understood the importance of sport, and wanted to be able to provide a player with the opportunity to continue to play hockey, that otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
When?
The game will be taking place at Thorncliffe Greenview Arena on July 23rd at 6:15.
How Can You Help?

How will the money be used?
We are working with the McKnight Hockey Association to identify a family that would be in need of our support. The money will be used to pay for that child's registration.
