McKenna's TN Journey

McKenna (15) was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN)...aka the Suicide Disease...last November after 8 weeks of pain. TN causes excruciating nerve pain, it is progressive, and has no cure. We started this site to help raise the funds needed for McKenna to have a brain surgery called a microvascular decompression (MVD). TN is quite rare in children, about 1/100,000 are diagnosed per year, and there are not any neurosurgeons in Utah with the experience to perform the surgery. Due to this fact, we will need to travel to California for McKenna's surgery. All money raised on this site will be used to pay for surgery and the travel expenses that will go along with spending 3 weeks in CA for surgery and recovery, and multiple visits to CA for follow up appointments.
