McDonald Family Texas Flood Relief

My name is Chris McDonald and I live in South Jordan, Utah.  This week our son, Jordan McDonald, and his family were evacuated from their Montgomery, TX home as flood waters from Lake Conroe surrounded and entered their house.  They were not in a flood zone so they do not have flood insurance and they expected that water released from the dam would keep their home from danger, but Harvey was worse than anyone expected!  They have been able to get into their home since the dam released more water after they were flooded and there is more damage than they initially thought.  They are not in a zipcode area that FEMA considers part of the disaster, so they will not be getting any relief from FEMA.   Friends are helping them clean up and tear out damaged sheetrock and wood trim.  They will need to replace their garage door which has swelled from the water and will no longer close.  They are assessing other damage which may include kitchen cabinets and flooring.   They moved much of their belongings upstairs, but some have been ruined.  We would like to help Jordan out with his repair expenses which could exceed our gofundme goal, but if not, he will use any funds above his expenses to help others in his community that have suffered loss from this terrible storm.
