Meet AJ "SaeLah" Hall


AJ is a poet, lyricist, actor and author from Shreveport, LA.

AJ has been doing music and writing poetry most of his life. His poetic talent brought him to a national stage in 2016 when he appeared on TV One's "Verses and Flow".  In recent years, AJ has added acting to his artistic resume, appearing in several independent films. 

In 2018, AJ released a book called #Situationships, based on his own personal experiences.  In 2019, the self-published book of poetry and prose inspired his friend, Kristi Woodard, to want to make it into a web series. 


Meet Kristi Woodard: 


A photographer, videographer and creative consultant, under the company name Mahogani Media, Kristi is finally pursuing her dream of being a filmmaker. 

Kristi is also a Shreveport native. Though she recently acquired her MFA, this will be her first time directing a web series. But Kristi sure her background in live TV production, and her training (and previous film work as a director and other crew positions) will make this a great project // [Follow @mahoganimedia]

Kristi and AJ have been working hard to adapt and develop #Situationships the BOOK into #Situationships: The Series. 

They are now well into pre-production. They have found their cast and are working on locations and crew. 

The plan is to shoot the series in late October/early November 2019 and need to meet their goal by then to be able to meet their budgetary needs, and make their vision a reality! 


How You Can Help: 

Though AJ and Kristi plan to put a bit of their personal finances toward this project ... for them to fulfill the vision they have in mind -- THEY NEED YOUR HELP! 

That's why #SituationshipTheSeries has decided to crowdfund to raise money that will go toward production costs. 

These costs include: Paying our crew and some of our cast,  camera rental locations fees and permits,  production insurance, wardrobe and makeup, set dressing, props, catering, post-production and more!

The bottom line is -- This production is a passion project for AJ and I. We're putting in a lot of time and creative energy at our expense.

This journey is years in the making and six months in pre-production, and being able to bring this series to you and the world, could be a potential game-changer for our creative careers.
