Mark Black Travel Team 4th Grade

Mark Black Academy is a fully licensed, well-respected and comprehensive basketball program that coaches and mentors the youth who are in need of support from their communities. Our program provides a safe and healthy haven for kids of all backgrounds to develop and master their skill in the art of basketball while impacting their overall development and growth. We enjoy bringing out the best in every player by teaching the essence of America’s beloved sport of Basketball. We encourage those who exhibit a passion for the sport, to reach higher and aim for excellence. We want every player to bring their skills and talents to the next level. We want our members to dream big and go beyond any limitations imposed by their environment or background. We want them to realize that anything is possible with hard work, determination and the audacity of making hope a reality. We have had a very successful travel basketball season competing in the USBA Florida tournaments ranked as #3 in the state of Florida with a 21-5 overall record, and finishing as a runner up in the USBA Florida States tournament.

We are fundraising to support the Mark Black Academy 4th grade travel team as they travel to Las Vegas to compete in the Las Vegas Junior Fab 48 tournament. The Las Vegas Fab 48 tournament is considered by many to be the overall #1 basketball event in Las Vegas. Over 200 teams competed in this tournament in 2016 and the majority of Division 1 coaches in the US make sure that they attend the Fab 48. The Fab 48 attracts the top talent in the country with different Divisions in each age group to allow you to play against similar competitive teams. The Fab 48 tournament has included many stars as underclassmen including Jabari Parker (Milwaukee Bucks), Emanuel Mudiay (Denver Nuggets), Kyle Anderson (San Antonio Spurs), Maurice Harkless (Portland Trailblazers), Stanley johnson (Detroit Pistons) and the newest member of the Miami Heat Bam Adebayo.
