Hello,
My name is Joe Wos. I am a cartoonist and maze maker from Pittsburgh, PA.
In 2015 I acheived my lifelong dream to become a syndicated cartoonist. My feature MazeToons is distributed by Creators Syndicate.
Over the years I have worked hard to make sure cartoons held their rightful place on gallery and museum walls. For 7 years I acted as founder and Executive Director of the ToonSeum, Pittsburgh's museum of comic and cartoon art.
Well, after 7 years of hanging other artists wonderful work on the walls, I have the chance to fulfill another dream- To have my own work exhibited.
The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco is mounting an exhibition of my maze art opening this May at the Children's Creativity Museum. The exhibit will then tour hopefully across the nation and maybe the world!
Mounting an exhibit takes a lot of resources and both museums and a few donors have made the commitment to seeing this exhibition through.
But having run a non-profit, I know how difficult it is to raise funds and how long the wait can be just to get a no from a foundation.
So I am turning to you! My friends, family and fans of MazeToons.
I hope you will consider supporting our efforts to create a family friendly exhibit of MazeToons, and I hope it will be coming to your city soon!
