MayuMateo's Special Needs in Peru
Donation protected
Mayu Mateo is an extraordinary 8 year old preemie-survivor with cerebral palsy living in Sacred Valley Peru. His family of 5 are loving advocates who speak Quechua at home. The goal this year is: 1. Express needs and feelings in some form of communication, 2. Walk for the first time! The schooling, physical/speech therapies, and all weekly medical care +transportation that he requires comes out of pocket. Minimum wage in Peru is under $300/month. Citing their ancient cultural focus of love, respect and sacred reciprocity as their guiding strengths, this family also aids other parents with special-needs children by sharing information, equipment, resources, access, transportation and emotional support. Your donation will have an exponential impact on a group of children who get little to no support from government. This child is ready to experience the joy of moving under his own volition and expressing his needs & wants to his loved ones. Please consider any little contribution you can make- collectively we will reach these goals!
