Burn patient transport to Boston!
Donation protected
A very strong pediatric ER/PICU medical missions team is currently in Milot, Haiti volunteering their time. Today they were tasked with keeping a 13 year old girl alive that has a 70 % total body surface area burn to her body from a propane explosion. She caught on fire after lighting a match to start cooking.
We are raising money to help secure transfer of this little girl to Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston. Shriners has already accepted her as a patient and they are working on her safe transport.
Our mission is to raise funds to pay for emergency passports and visas for Mayledine and her mother. In addition we need to support their living expenses while in Boston. Maydeline will have a long, intensive road to recovery.
Maydeline is a very smart and scared patient. She is intubated, receiving pain control and fluids. The team states she has been writing notes to them while being cared for.
Please consider helping safe Maydeline’s future.
