Maya's Open Heart Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Our beautiful 10 year old daughter, Maya, was diagnosed last November with an extremely large heart defect called an ASD. She had a procedure at UCSF in December to close the defect, but it was not successful, and she has not recovered. At present she is profoundly hypoxic and needs continuous oxygen to function and walk around. Maya is scheduled to undergo Open Heart Surgery in July to repair her ASD, and will be in UCSF for at least a week. The combination of our family taking off work due to the severity of her unstable condition, and the constant travel to UCSF has caused unfortunate financial hardship. We are asking for any support from our friends and fellow community members. The funds we collect will be used towards gas, lodging for the duration of her stay, and a (used) iphone to help navigate our small town family through the confusing streets of San Francisco. We thoroughly appreciate any help.
