Max’s Happy Heart Fund

Sweet Max was born with a form of congenital heart disease known as ventricular septal defect (VSD) as well as abnormal valves. This means he has a significant size hole in the wall which normally separates the two lower chambers of his heart. This causes fluid to build up in his lungs and he has to work very hard to breath. It also makes him unable to sleep comfortably and have a hard time gaining weight or growing.
Because of the size of the hole, he will require open heart surgery in the first few months of his life at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Les owns his own business and Anna was planning on going back to work after 8 weeks of maternity leave. Because of the severity of Max’s surgery one or both of his parents needs to be with him through the duration of his recovery. This fund is to assist the Clement/LaCasse family with the financial burden of lost wages, insurance deductibles, premiums, copays and travel so that they can focus on getting their sweet son healthy.
Max is a tough little guy and was very lucky to be born to two amazing, loving and hard working parents, and one silly, spunky, beautiful older sister.
Those of you that know Anna and Les know that they would never ask for help, but because they are always the first to assist those in need we would like to show them that they are loved by their family, friends and community.
