Maxi Makes Miles - help Max to get

Donation protected
Hi all you amazing people who have donated to the fundraiser for Maxi. I've just received an email  from Go Fund me requesting I clarify some details about the fundraisebso here goes.
My name is Janni Thompson and I live in the small country town of Moruya, the same town as Maxi lives in with his Mum, Dad and little sister. I have known Maxi's nan for many years but only got to know Maxi and his family a few years ago when they were referred to an early intervention program I was working in at the time. Whilst I've since moved on to another job, I have maintained contact with Max's Mum Kirsty, mostly through Facebook. Last week, Kirsty shared a video of Max trialling the Maywalker, a piece of equipment that will allow him to move around independently however with an estimated price tag of almost $4000, it was out of reach of the family who had already had a large outlay with the purchase of afo's to also help Max with his mobility. I showed my daughter in law Anna the video and we both agreed that we needed to do something to get the jaywalker for Max. Half way through the campaign, Kirsty was advised by CErebral Palsy Alliance that the actual cost of the Walker including modifications to ensure it meets Max' needs would actually cost almost $4500 so we increased the goal amount. Anything above this amount that is raised will be put toward the purchase of a wheelchair for Max, another piece of equipment that has been recommended for Max  and which will cost at least $5000.
Today we reached the amazing amount of $4530 and Kirsty contacted CPA to order the Walker and was advised that it would be ready within a month.
Once the funds become available for withdrawal, Kirsty, Max's Mum will accompany me to the bank to withdraw the donations and pay this money directly to CPA for the Walker. Once Max gets his Walker, the family would like to hold some sort of get together at the local park so everyone who has donated can share the joy of seeing Max move around independently with his brand new "legs".
I hope this clarifies who I am and why I felt compelled to help this little man to gain some independence. I don't have the technical skills to share the video of Max trialling the Walker but hope this link will take you to the clip

Janni
Friends of ours have the most beautiful boy, Maxi (affectionately known as mighty Max). Mighty Max was born at 33 weeks with a rare disability called Dup15q. With this comes cerebral palsy, autism and uncontrolled epilepsy. Max deals with more challenges every day than a lot of us deal with in a lifetime & he's only 6.
Just one of those challenges is walking, something so many of us take for granted. This week, Maxi trialled a new piece of equipment called a May Walker to help him get around. The look of sheer joy on his face when he could move around freely brought many of us to tears (we saw the video) but unfortunately, despite NDIS rolling out in the Eurobodalla 13 months ago, due to red tape, none of the under 7's have even been assessed and therefore there is no funding available. This piece of equipment would change Max (& his families) life & it costs about $4000.
This is not much to help a little man gain some independence so Anna & I decided we HAVE to do something. Kristy & Jason (Wol), Max's parents don't like asking for help but this would benefit their beautiful little man so much they have agreed to let us try. If you can contribute anything at all, I promise you it would change Mighty Maxi's life & give him some of the freedom a little boy deserves.
Thanks, Janni, Anna & Maxi's family
