Help Sarge get a van!

My name is Ervin “Maul Sarge” Melton and I am a 68 year old veteran and retired teacher, confined to a wheelchair due to paralysis from the waist down. I have been paralyzed for 4 years, and through 16 operations, to include a leg amputation, I’m still persevering.  I crossed the burning sands of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc some 33 years ago through the Zeta Omicron chapter.
          My journey into Omega and my faith in the Grand Basileus of the universe has prepared me to “See It Through” these life challenges, and one of the best lessons I learned while seeking Omega was to humble myself, and as difficult as this is for me, I’m humbly soliciting your support.
          I have the opportunity to participate in a rehabilitation program at the Sheltering Arms iWalk Recovery Center located in Richmond. VA. I currently live in Hampton, VA but as my vehicle is unreliable and inadequately equipped to consistently complete the 154 mile round trip commute, it presents a barrier in my aspirations to actively seek recovery.
          I am asking that each brother, in our over 100k member strong illustrious fraternity, or whoever possible, donate $4 ($1 dollar for each of our cardinal principles) to assist me in purchasing suitable transportation to assist me in my ultimate goal to regain use of my legs. I am not looking for anything extravagant, but rather a road worthy vehicle to accommodate my wheelchair to transport me to and from the iWalk Recovery Center daily.
