Matthieu Sherwood Memorial Scholarship

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful son, Matthieu Sherwood.
Some of his happiest moments were with the University of Rochester Yellowrackets tennis club. They were a true family, playing, traveling, studying and even going on Vermont ski trips together.
It is our wish to start a memorial scholarship in his name for future Yellowracket participants who might otherwise not be able to pay the dues or travel expenses so that everyone can experience the joy he shared with this organization. This fall's UR Open for regional teams will be renamed the Sherwood Open.
Due to the current health situation we have not been able to connect with anyone from the organization but hope to have the scholarship in place by the time students return to campus.
Matthieu will be interred at Mt Hope Cemetery, overlooking the UR campus and where he can hear the Meliora bells.
