Matthew Rios Memorial Fund

Matthew Lincoln Rios, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2020. 


Born on January 18, 1971, Matt lived in Nelson, Ohio for 23 years and worked as a carpenter by trade for more than 25 years. When he wasn’t working to perfect his craft, Matt enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting his rifle and was loved by many, as he was never in short supply of friends. He was most happy when spending time with those closest to him and was never without an ice cold Busch in hand. 


Matt was a loving father, husband, son and papa and is survived by his wife Carrissa; son Cody (Lindsey) Rios; grandson Owen Rios; brothers Richard (Sarah) Rios and Dominic Rios; and sisters Angela (Koral) Tucture and Regina Rios-Salazar. As Matt was part of a large family, he will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

As most of you know there are many expenses with losing a loved one in addition to all of the expenses that Matt left behind. We would like to show our love for his wife Carrissa at this terrible time and help any way that we can.  Thank you all so much.
