College is a time few people experience joyfully. Studying abroad is what even fewer people are gifted with. I never thought it was possible for me, a kid from Akron who always gazed at the various, diverse and beautiful continents of the world only through friends stories or computer screens, to be able to study the living and active Word of GOD
After many study abroad chapels watching videos of my joyous classmates learning and growing within foreign environments and cultures, I asked myself: "Why can't that be me? We serve the same amazing and giving GOD!" I prayed in faith that I could receive such a possibility. After trying at other study abroads a great final opportunity has arisen! To study in the place where our modern religion was reformed. Where so many great men of GOD lived, taught, and were persecuted at. The place where the Bible was translated for the common man. Germany!
On this trip I will be taking two classes. European Reformations and Systematic Theology. In Euro Reform I will be studying the many Protestant denominations, how their origins and differences. Sys Theo is observing themes within the BIble and backing up those claims or themes in and outside of Scripture.
That is a chance I cannot just let slip by me easily. Will you please help me to attend this life transforming school pilgrimage. Will you please give to the cause of studying the Word of GOD in a place that witnessed the rise of so many sound doctrine, good theologians, and life-giving reforms. Thank you for your care and concern. All and all your prayers are the most valued. May GOD be glorified through it all!
