Matthew Butler- Our Brother In Blue

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that one of Crockett County’s deputies passed away on Dec. 16, 2021. Deputy Matthew Butler began his law enforcement career with Crockett County Sheriffs Department after he was honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces. He was 31 years old.

We are all devastated by this great loss and recognize the incredible stress that comes from serving as a law enforcement officer - the likes of which we have never seen before in our lifetimes.

I’ve started a fundraiser to help cover anything financial the family might need to cover. Matthew would have gave the shirt off of his back to help someone.
