Matt Wellman Family Fund

The world lost a bright light and genuine soul on Sunday, February 7th.  Words cannot truly express the shock, anger, pain, numbness, sadness and extreme loss so many who loved Matt Wellman are feeling right now, and will continue to be feeling in the days and weeks and months and years to come.  A mother and father lost their beloved son, a sister lost her only brother, nephews lost their loving uncle, cousins lost their sweet cousin, and friends from childhood through the present day are feeling the extreme loss as well.  For Liz to lose the love of her life, her partner, her best friend and father to their three beautiful young girls so suddenly and unexpectedly, is absolutely beyond comprehension and devastating on so many levels.  Our only wish would be to have Matt here with us to continue being the amazing son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend everyone knew and loved him so much for.  However, God had different plans for Matt and called him home.  A difficult reminder that life is so precious and tomorrow will never be promised.  There are so many from far and near that want to show their love, pay their respects and support Liz and the girls; however, COVID makes it difficult to travel and understand life is complicated.  For those that want to show support, please consider making a financial contribution to help Liz and the girls in the days and months ahead.  She will need expenses to cover funeral costs, childcare, and daily living expenses.  We have set a goal of $10,000 and know we can reach and even exceed this goal with those that Matt touched over his amazing 41 years on this Earth.  Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with us all.
