Hi! My name is Allie and my husband Matt & I are 1 in 8 couples that struggle with infertility and 1 in 4 couples who have experienced a miscarriage. We have been together since October 2014 and married since December 2017. We have always wanted a family and decided to take the first two years of our marriage to travel the world! Our first anniversary we spent in Paris and our second in Jamaica! We wanted to see things and have experiences that would last a lifetime. We started trying to conceive in Jan 2020. Our real journey was about to begin; the most significant moments of our lives were getting ready to unfold. We weren't prepared for how long it would take and our path. Our journey has included:
- 7 months TTC with Ovulation Induction medication
- 2 failed IUIs
- 1 successful egg retrieval
- 2 failed frozen embryo transfers
- PGT-A testing on remaining embryos
- ERA bioposy
- 1 successful frozen embryo transfer, leading to our first angel baby
- D&C
- hundreds of pills, 88 shots (thus far) self-administered by me, blood draws and more doctor visits than I can count
- Saline Ultrasound, HSG, hysteroscopy, biopsies, etc. - testing, testing, testing!
- 1 Diagnosis: Unexplained Infertility
All we have ever wanted is to be parents. We have dreamed of this day from the moment we met. Our faith is strong that our hopes and dreams will be realized, hopefully soon! We are fighting this medical condition, and with each test we run, we get one step closer to our sweet baby.
What I can tell you is this... our marriage has never been stronger. The tears have led to days and nights of holding each other. The pain has led to moments of prayer. The fears we have experienced together are far larger than anything we could have imagined. But the strength we have gained has formed us into the parents I truly believe God has destined for us to be. We have learned the value of patience and persistence. And the only thing stronger than our fears, is our hope for this journey.
A note to our baby: You are loved beyond measure. Mommy & Daddy are fighting with everything in us to bring you into our arms. One day, we will tell you this story of how you were created with the most amount of a love, and a little bit of science. We will never stop fighting for you, and we want you to know that you are worth the wait. This journey is the most painful experience we have ever been on, but we know that the reward is you. And we would walk this journey every day for the rest of our lives to bring you here. We pray to God to support us through this journey and that He will be with us every step of the way. We pray that His plans for you are far greater than we could have ever dreamed. You are WANTED and LOVED. We will meet you soon. XOXO
