On December 30th 2017, my nieces and nephews suffered a life changing and unexpected loss, that of their mother Amber Nash. At ages 8, 10, 15 and 17 this loss is traumatic, but to add to their heartache, they were also the ones to her find her. In one weekend they have lost their mother, moved homes and will be starting a new school without their friends or teachers they have had; these changes are difficult for adults and no child should have to endure this. My brother, Mathu Deshaies, is now raising these children alone and needs to get them into grief counseling immediately to help them travel the long journey of recovery and to keep them on a positive and supportive path. This is something that a family could not plan for and therefore needs financial help. They will immediately need a larger apartment and financially all the new and upcoming expenses that my brother will encounter raising these children alone. If you are able to give any assistance, in any amount, to help these children in this time of need, we would be so grateful and appreciative.
