Match A Meal


Life has been turned upside down - for many of us as we work from home, managing our households AND educating our kids - overwhelming when we’re trying to do all those things all at the same time. While you have all struggled with your challenges, you’ve all been so generous in reaching out with offers of help as we navigate the new realities of how to run a restaurant business and keep it sustainable during a pandemic.

Many of us are wanting to do something to help the healthcare workers on the front lines of this pandemic. My brother-in-law is a doctor at multiple ICU units in the Denver metro area, so the situation is particularly personal for me. Our team at Olive & Finch is in a unique position to take care of those who are directly fighting this crisis.

To show our appreciation for these doctors, nurses and medical staff on the front lines of this pandemic, we are helping to coordinate and deliver donated meals. While Olive & Finch has committed to providing meals to these ICU’s, I think together, we can do more and make a bigger impact.  Our goal is to provide a minimum of one breakfast, lunch or dinner for an entire ICU unit on a daily basis in our local neighborhood hospitals – St. Josephs, Presbyterian St. Lukes (PSL), Rose, Denver Health and also to the National Jewish administrative ICU team for their response in helping our community fight COVID-19. 

Every contribution helps to directly feed our frontline heroes.  A typical ICU employs a team of approximately 50 doctors, nurses, technicians, aids and environmental service workers per shift.  Our goal is to provide over 2,800 nutritious, Chef driven and scratch made meals (50/day) for our healthcare workers fighting the fight in metro Denver ICU’s and continue to employ our restaurant teams for the next 8 weeks.

My ask is that you consider purchasing a meal for $13.50 for a doctor, nurse or other hospital staff.  And while there are additional options available if you want to do more, whether you purchase a meal or not, I hope that you will share this information with your own community as I think together we can do some real good.

Every $4,725.00 buys 350 meals for one full week of breakfast, lunch or dinner for 1 ICU team and employs 8 ONF team members for one week.
