Masks for Hunterdon Medical Center

We are all well aware at this point of the severe global impact that COVID-19 has had, and unfortunately it is creeping its way into Hunterdon with daily reports of new cases. A longtime friend of mine Jeremy Gulish was able to access his extensive network and find a colleague who has access to ordering N95 masks.  I have been in touch with the Hunterdon Medical Center, and they have confirmed that they are indeed in need of N95 masks first and foremost. 

I want to alleviate a few obvious and understandable questions:

1.) Who are you, and is this legit?
I am a lifelong resident and entrepeaneur in Hunterdon County.  I have roots in charity here as a board member at Woodlands Wildlife Refuge in Pittstown/Alexandria as well as being a volunteer at Tabby's Place in Ringoes.  I also have charity fundraising experience after launching a successful campaign to fundraise about $6k for my dear childhood friend who attended Clinton Public School and North Hunterdon with me and was lost due to PTSD complications.

2.) There are a lot of scams out there right now, are you sure of your supplier?
As mentioned, the supplier is a second degree connection to me through a very longtime and close friend of mine.  I would not undertake a campaign to take money from the public without carefully vetting this supplier.  This supplier has already delivered 1200 masks to Morristown, with another 2000 arriving tomorrow.

So for our initial goal of $10,000 we are focusing on N95 masks.  If we can deliver on those, we will open up a second round of funding, with the blessing of Hunterdon Medical Center, to deliver on any other supplies that are needed such as gowns, face shields, and more.  For now we will focus on getting that first $10k.

What can you do other than donating?  You can share share share on social media.  The big thing with these gofundme campaigns is getting over the hump of taking donations that go beyond my immediate sphere of influence.  Once donations start rolling in from strangers (to me), we know we've done our job to spread the word.  The power of fighting this virus that spreads easily is helped along by spreading this campaign in a similar way.  Every share that comes about serves to exponentially increase the impact that we can have on Hunterdon.  

I want to also be sure to give credit to my friend and fellow NHHS alumni Jeremy Gulish for the inspiration and N95 supplier contact.  Jeremy has successfully delivered 1200 masks and counting to Morristown Medical Center.  I want to do the same here in my beloved Hunterdon County.
