WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW!

Join us to help strengthen our commitment to organic seeds, traditional and regenerative farming and be part of a thriving local agricultural community. In our third year of operations, we are in great need of community financial support!. We are in full swing  at the start  of a new growing season! Our thousands of open-pollinated, diverse and locally-adapted plants need tending and distributing and our programs need running.

Get involved however you can. Your  donation supports all MASA’S programs and services toward the betterment of the local food system.

With YOUR support, we will be able to continue offering our programs and services.

Project Specific Donors
These investments will go directly to budgeted projects and long term infrastructural improvements.

Youth Farming and Cash Crop Program:
An educational summer cash crop project assisted and facilitated by our staff to bring together a group of late teens wanting to ‘learn and earn’ from wholesale organic produce and seed sales. This new program aims to train and financially compensate  young farmers for a lucrative future in organic agriculture. All proceeds go into their future education and professional development.
 Estimated Budget : $50,000
Masa plans to meet at least half the financial needs for the success of the project.  In-kind match: $25,000

Masa Gardens ‘Kinship’ Botanical Garden Project:
MASA”S founding farmer  leads up a dynamic one acre learning garden for aspiring and experienced gardeners. The overall design will feature a giant Sunflower bed layout. The entire garden including a sixty five foot center ring with each of its sixty five foot pedals will house a floral display of plant species representing a specific tribe of the daisy plant family known taxonomically as the Asteraceae. This will be a living library for garden tourists and will build a foundation for learning an important part of our living food plants, herbs and ornamental plant legacy.
Budget estimate : $75,000.
Masa plans to meet at least 50% of the financial needs of this project.
 In-kind match: $37,500

Growing Culinary and Medicinal Herbs:
an interactive learning project at MASA Gardens: A full season of plant propagation, garden installation, crop maintenance, direct harvesting  and processing with our head herbalists and staff gardeners. MASA is presently contracting to grow herbs for WishGarden Herbs and Rebecca's herbal Apothecary. These arrangements will help offset some of the overall costs and kick off the growing season. This is a  hands on, highly interactive project working with a diversity of aromatic culinary and medicinal plants throughout the entire growing season. Volunteers and apprentices will have the opportunity to work in the nursery and herb gardens and learn the final steps and techniques of drying, cutting and sifting.  We’ve just begun to interview interested participants, and expect this project to bring a deep interest to all aspiring herbalists.
Budget estimate :$50,000
Masa plans to meet at least 50% of the financial needs of the project.
 IN-Kind Match: $25,000
