Masa Restaurants Staff Relief Fund

Most people know Chef Masa for being a Three Michelin Star chef.

What most people don't know, is how much he cares for his team like family. He takes care of his own and fosters an environment of loyalty, compassion and generosity.  And now more than ever, we need the help for our Masa family.

In the 15 years since Masa and Bar Masa opened, and the 6 years since Kappo Masa opened, we as a team, like our fellow New York chef families, have encountered floods, 9/11, national disasters, and blackouts. But the Coronavirus pandemic is something no one could even know to what to expect.

Thank you to the outpouring of support from those who have asked how they can help. Like many New York restaurateurs in our current predicament, we have had to lay off all of our employees in the hopes they are able to file for unemployment to keep them and their families afloat while we await next steps in our industry.  Unfortunately this is not enough. 

Your loyalty to Chef Masa and his restaurants gives us purpose and meaning to what we do. We cannot exist without your constant support and patronage. And at this time, we humbly ask your support in helping us get through this tough time. This is for the ones who tirelessly work behind the scenes every single day. 

Proceeds will be divided among the staff. We are asking for any donation,  any gesture from you, our loyal guests, will mean the world to those who need it most. For that, we the team at Takayama Management are eternally grateful.
