Mary Lou Medical Fund
Donation protected
Our friend Mary Lou has been stricken with a debilitating illness, preventing her from being able to accomplish simple day to day activities without assistance. She can not use her hands and is unable to feed herself. She cannot stand anymore without assistance.
Mary Lou is one of the most kindest and generous people that we know. She has spent more than seventeen years volunteering in Haiti on a regular basis. Through the Haiti MaryCare organization that she spearheaded, Mary Lou and her husband set up two sustainable medical clinics, a school and developed a water well system providing the community with clean water. It is no exaggeration to say that she has immensely improved the lives of thousands of people.
Mary Lou worked as a nurse practitioner for decades in a pediatric emergency department in a public hospital in the Bronx before her illness prevented her from continuing in a job that she loved. Her illness has robbed her and countless others of her humanitarian efforts.
Your contributions will go towards a writing assistance device, a home health aide for her daily life activies, a mechanical lift for her to get to the second floor and a medical fund for her to see a specialist at the Cleveland Clinic Functional Medicine Department in Ohio.
