Just 4 months after Mary Ann and Cody Walker lost Carson, Mary Ann's husband of 43 years and Cody's Dad, Mary Ann came home from work on Wednesday, September 13th to check on her mother and step-father, Doris and Johnny York, who lived right behind her. Both homes had lost power, when Hurricane Irma came through Taylor County on Sunday, September 11th and both homes had been running on generators. Mary Ann walked in to find her mother deceased in one room, and her step-father deceased in another room. Fire Rescue conducted an air quality test inside the home and discovered high levels of carbon monoxide throughout the house due to the generator. Mary Ann and Cody are still struggling emotionally and financially over the loss of Carson, and now this has put a financial burden on the family to cover the cost of burying Doris and Johnny. This fund is set up for her to once again take time off from work to heal, without worrying about finances. Any amount donated will assist Mary Ann and Cody during this difficult time, as they struggle to deal with the loss of their precious loved ones.
