Mary's Broken Legs Campaign
Donation protected
Mary is a 7 week old kitten that was found by a good samaritan in Fort Worth, Texas by the Modern Art Museum on University and Camp Bowie Road on 08/17/17. She was put in to the care of CatMatchers Rescue in Plano, Texas on the evening of 08/18/17. The next day she was taken to the vet to be checked out. She is unable to use her back legs and the tip of her right ear was ripped off. After taking xrays, it was discovered that Mary has 2 broken legs. Her tibia and fibula are broken on her left leg. Her femur is snapped and dislocated at the hip on her right leg. They were able to stabilize her left leg with splints and a soft cast. Her right leg is going to require surgery, which is scheduled for Thursday 08/24/17. It will not be determined until then if her right femur can be pinned and put back in to her hip socket. If the vet determines that her injuries are too great, her right leg may have to be amputated. Her surgery is going to run around $2,000. She is sweet little kitten who needs help being able to walk around again and play. Despite being in pain, she enjoys playing and gets in to trouble just like any other kitten. You can go to our website catmatchers.org to make a donation through paypal. Please be sure to put Mary in the comments or subject line when making your donation.
