Mothers of Diversity America is a 501 c 3 non profit organization that is dedicated to children and their future. All children. We represent a wide range of mothering backgrounds who are unified in nurturing a better world for our children, and their children, and on and on. We start with ourselves--becoming informed-- forming opinions, ideas and transformations inside; then becoming involved--with one anothers' lives, our childrens' lives and our communities'. One mind at a time, one mother at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time. Until "I" becomes "we" becomes "one" for a better, more just, more equitable, more hopeful opportunity for ALL OF OUR CHILDREN.
Our Campaign for MCSWSE will help us achieve a goal to extend educational opportunites for children. In West Virginia we have schools that need support for After School programming. One such school is on Charleston's West Side: Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary. The school serves some of the city's most gifted and talented children who, because of economic circumstance, are under resourced. As a community, we can provide materials for an after school program serving almost 100 of those students from 2:45-5:45. For a detailed list of items, please see our website: mothersofdiversityamerica.org, or donate here.
And. . . we need to tend to our backyards. To start, Urbalachian Recycling is providing resources by collecting plastics #1 &2 from homes and businesses in another under resourced community around Institute WV. To do so, takes the teen power of young men and women who deserve a pat on the back; but also a small stipend check to further their education. MODA provides both and your donations can help Urbalachian add more youth, collect more recyclables and sustain this youth entrepenuerial/community service project another year. Visit urbalachian.com for more info.
Thank you for taking the time to care.
