Unfortunately we lost a wonderful man when Dr. Nathaniel Travis Marvel Jr. passed away on August 31, 2018 after a courageous 4 year battle with Leukemia.  For those of you who knew him, personally or professionally, you know how much his caring heart and sense of humor will be missed. I was fortunate enough to know him both personally as a loving father to his children at my son’s school, as well as professionally as the caring doctor for many of my geriatric residents experiencing difficult challenges.

            Travis left behind his beautiful wife, Cathy, who has also been fighting cancer herself for many years and is currently undergoing maintenance treatments for breast cancer. Cathy is one of the most loving and caring people you will ever meet.  Travis also left behind two wonderful children, Nate, a freshman at St. Xavier High School and Spencer, an 8th grader at St. Columban.

            The financial implications can be staggering considering years of cancer treatments for both Cathy and Travis who had to travel back and forth to Columbus for chemotherapy, the reduced ability to work for periods during their illnesses and the cost of schooling for their children.

 Please help me with blessing Cathy and their children with easing some of their financial burdens they have had to endure and will continue to have ahead of them.
