My name is marti. (Nickname "mu"). I've been an artist all of my life.

I believe that by creating and sharing our art, our creativity and vision, beauty and inspiration in our own unique way with one another and the world, we connect with each other and raise the level of our collective consciousness, changing it for the betterment of All. One tiny ripple can spread out in infinite unknown and unseen ways, illuminating the creative spark and magic within each of us -- as a reminder and connecting force that the planet and humanity so desperately needs. I need your help to continue.

A bit of my story and history... I began as a working child dancer, actor and singer. Later, I attended music school in Los Angeles and graduated with the Vocal Achievement Award and worked as a singer-songwriter and  photographer. While working in LA on various music and other projects, I was in a serious auto accident. I  recovered, but alas my sweet classic 1961 VW bug didn't (RIP). A year later I came down with a mysterious out-of-the-blue illness, and life as I knew it came to a schreeching halt. I was bedbound for three months and lost my job and in the years since then pretty much everything else. I continued trying to work at various part time jobs for about 12 years, managing to miraculously survive through many setbacks and serious physical relapses. I eventually became too sick to work and was pronounced "permanently disabled".  I don't pay attention to labels of any kind and I believe in miracles, so eventhough I may have wanted to many times, I never gave up hope and still haven't. It's been a diffcult road, and I know I would not still be here without the help of good friends and random strangers (angels) who have showed me kindness and the Light of humanity during some of the darkest days.

Throughout the trials and tribulations, I've continued to create. I can't not create. Whether I am writing a song, recording music (on my phone or a portable recorder), building websites, taking photographs, making videos for MuTube, http://www.youtube.com/planetmu ,
writing, or  creating my podcast called "BEing with Mu" on BlogTalk Radio http://www.blogtalkradio.com/beingwithmu . The vision of my podcast is to share conversation with other artists, musicians, writers, photographers, and visionaries in many walks of life. My passion is inspiring and helping others (and animals) by sharing myself, my art, heart, soul and experience, and little known or unknown artists and creators/visionaries -- what I call the "Apple Manifesto people" -- the "crazy ones" and our vision with the world... even if in just a small way from my tiny corner of the world, as Buddha said. After living with a chronic physical illness for decades my life has shrunk considerably, so it is often sharing and creating from a chair in the corner, my yoga mat on the floor, or at my writing desk looking out the window into the beauty and nature that is Ojai, California.

I am no longer able to create or share mine or others' art, passion, and vision, because I have not been able to replace my 2003 G4 laptop. I still use it for writing, (have been working on an autbiography for the past four years. Now in the editing phase) book editing, and transcription, but it is so old that the OS can no longer be updated, and therefore iTunes and other software I need to use to create MuTube videos, music, photography, and now the new podcast project cannot be upgraded or used at all. I am a creative problem solver, but my current technology is just too outdated to be of any use.

I'm not sure what else to write here. I was taught to never ask for help. There is more to the story, as there always is. We are many people... and yet we are One... intrinsically interconnected in innumerable ways. I am very grateful for the opportunity to share a tiny bit of my story from this tiny corner of my world, and to courageously and humbly step out of my comfort zone to ask for your help.
