Martin J can't hear much any more

Hello and thank you for taking time to read this.
 I worked as a Toolmaker for 45 years often in rather loud enviroments , that and just getting older has caused my ability to hear clearly to diminish along with very loud Tinitis in both ears. Consequently I'm loosing my ability to communicate and feeling isolated. That feeling really strikes me when my , very patient, girlfriend has to ask me if I heard all she has said and then has to repeat herself. That and regular things like conversations where there is backround noise, music,movies, riding in a car, trying to understand what my girlfriend is saying if she's more than about 4 or 5 feet away are very frustrating for me. And my girl friend. I've been seen by an Audiologist and had my hearing tested and it was found that my hearing loss is profound and my only recourse is hearing aids. My health insurance doesn't cover the cost so I'm here hoping to get help
