Martin was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August of 2014. Martin has undergone 3 brain surgeries with the most recent brain surgery being this past October 2017. Martin has also previously undergone 12 months of chemotherapy treatment and 35 radiation treatments. Since then the diagnosis has changed and he has been diagnosed with a anaplastic oligodendroglioma Grade III. The Grade III tumors are anaplastic meaning cancer cells or malignant cells. At his most recent scan on Jan 3, 2018, to follow up since the surgery in October Martin and Jenny received the news that the cancer has spread in parts of his brain. Most of these areas are inoperable. Martin will begin a IV Chemotherapy this week. Martin has also recently been put on an additional seizure medication and blood pressure medication. Martin is not able to work and hasn’t been able to work since 2014, his wife Jenny, is currently working as much as she can. They also have 4 children.
