Martha Halkias’ Fight Against Ovarian Cancer

This support group has been created to raise funds for Martha Halkias of Linden, AL.  She has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer that has possibly  metastasized to other organs.  She is currently undergoing chemo to reduce the size of her tumors in preparation for tumor removal surgery.  Martha had a terrible reaction to her first Chemo treatment that landed her in ICU for a week.  She was released home only to have to return to UAB for more testing for more complications from the cancer.  Medical expenses are piling up, she is unable to work and the expenses from being away from home alone are very costly.  If you personally know Martha and her family then you know what a truly wonderful person she is.  She would give her last dime, her last bite to eat, her shirt off of her back, for even a total stranger, she is now in need and we are looking to you for help with her expenses.
