Martha Butts Medical expenses

Donation protected

Martha Butts has given thirty-seven years of her life to educating young people. Now it's our turn to help her.

Martha was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer in February 2012. She had chemo treatments to shrink two tumors, then a bilateral mastectomy in June, 2012 followed by 30 radiation treatments. In June, 2013 she had major reconstruction surgery.

During the next 5-1/2 years Martha has been in and out of hospitals — almost losing her life three times. She has weathered her ongoing battle with systemic lupus, diabetes, and ultimately celiac disease.

Martha believes the Great Physician is in charge, and she wants the many people who come her way to see the love that God has for us through His love for her and all His children.

On July 1, while with her beloved family in St. Augustine, Florida, she had an unfortunate and critical accident. The result was a right bipolar hip replacement. She is currently confined to Flagler Hospital and will be transferred to Bayview Rehab for several weeks. Traveling home is impossible.

Martha's family is nearly six hours from home. The costs for hotels, food, traveling, and other things are mounting. There will be tremendous financial burdens from this accident. We can help.

Five years ago Martha was offered financial assistance by several individuals and she refused. This time the choice needs to be ours — not hers. We can help Martha.
