Marshall and Jane Chambers have invested richly in others’ lives for many years, and now we get to bless them! Many didn’t realize Marshall was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma several years ago. Since his retirement from Eagles Landing Christian Academy and their move to Lynchburg, Virginia, Marshall had been undergoing treatments there.
Beginning next week, Marshall will undergo a stem cell transplant at the Emory clinic. While insurance will cover some of the procedure, it won’t cover the entire cost of transplant, or their expenses while they are in Georgia for several weeks of follow ups, or the months of medications. The medications alone will cost the Chambers $3000 a month.
Marshall and Jane will likely be mad at me for doing this, but I know they have a significant urgent need now that he is retired and on a fixed income. And we all know that they have been fervent prayer warriors and ardent supporters of those with great needs. This is an opportunity for the Body of Christ and the community to love them as well as they have loved all of us!
