Marquez Family Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
There are families across the country who need help both emotionally, physically, and financially that are struggling with cancer that has invaded a family member. This is a drama much like all the others, a story filled with determination, perseverance, depression, regret, endless questions, and most importantly the quest to beat something no matter what it takes.
The Marquez fight is a little different than others in the fact that the brave woman fighting cancer is a woman who has placed her family and her husband before herself no matter what the circumstances. Emerise Marques has raised 2 daughters and a son while simultaneously supporting her Marine Corps husband through 20 years of service and 7 Combat Deployments. The determination and perseverance to raise beautiful, intelligent kids and maintain an amazing home in the absence of her husband while he is defending this country is a true testament to the fight that Emerise is prepared to bring to the cancer that has interrupted her life.
Emerise and her family have been through hell and back for treatment. When all of these treatments were unsuccessful in North Carolina the doctors decided it was time for her to go on hospice and let God take over. Well as you can imagine a Marine Corps family will not lay down and give up.
After months of fighting the Marquez family got approval through military medical team to seek, possibly life saving treatment, in New York city. The issue is that the Marquez’s live in North Carolina where Emerise’s husband is stationed, still on active duty. In order to receive the treatment, they need to take a temporary residence in New York city.
