Marlin and Vonda Esh Medical Bills

This is a fundraiser for my niece, Vonda Esh, who was involved in a horrific car crash on the night of July 16, 2022. A 28 yr old man, who is not named, was headed south on U.S. Highway 95 when his Toyota SUV crossed the center line just after 10 p.m. and struck Vonda’s Chevy pickup head on. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vonda was life flighted to the hospital. She is 30 years old and the mother of two little boys, aged 6 and 9. She is the oldest daughter of Veasy and Valerie Glen.

Vonda was immediately rushed into surgery where she received a blood transfusion. Doctors discovered she has 4 broken ribs, a punctured lung, and multiple small bones broken in the rib cage. Her pelvis is broken on both sides. Her liver and spleen are bruised. Her back is cracked in a couple of places. Her hip was also broken. She has multiple broken bones in her feet. Her left foot is torn down to the bone and is so messed up that the doctor says it looks like her foot was ground into the road. So far the surgeons have not fixed anything. All they were able to do was to clean the wound and assess the many breaks. They put a wound vac in and will figure out where to go from here.

Vonda’s body is broken from head to toe and she is in tremendous pain, which doctors currently have not gotten on top of. There is also the complication of infection. Vonda was working in her garden and moving plants from one location to another when the accident occurred. Because she had been working outside all day, she had garden dirt on her feet. That now poses a huge risk of infection in the open wounds on her feet.

We are praying for healing and trusting God to come through in mighty ways on her behalf.

Doctors are saying it will be at least three months until she can walk again. She is facing an extended hospital stay with multiple surgeries. If God is touching your heart to help this young family, please consider financially donating towards the astronomical medical bills that they are facing.
