Marley's Life Saving Surgery

Hello,

This beautiful girl's name is Marley and she's a 5 year old Great Pyrenees. We were introduced to Marley through the Coastal K9 foster program in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and we've fallen in love with her. A few days ago we noticed a limp in one of her back legs so we took her to the vet to get checked out. It turns out Marley has two ruined miniscuses--most likely ignored by the previous owners--and is in desperate need of a double knee surgery as soon as possible. The problem is that the surgeries cost 2500$ per knee, and that is before all other aditional costs such as therapy and travel. Coastal K9 Society does amazing work but does not have nearly enough to cover the costs and because she is in such pain, the surgery must happen ASAP. It is almost impossible to find someone willing to adopt a dog who will require a 5000$ procedure, so if the money can not be gathered Marley will continue to suffer.

Of the 20+ dogs our house has fostered, Marley has connected with us the fastest and it kills us to see her like this. We have pitched as much as we have but as college students that is far from enough. The surgeries are relatively low-risk so if she is able to have them done, Marley will be able to live the long and comfortable life she deserves. Anything helps.
