Markus Martinez Medical Expenses

UPDATE: 2/6/23

Markus’s Heart Transplant surgery on January 26, 2023 went really well. The first few days after surgery were a little rough but Markus was able to pull through and started sitting up and walking. Each day was getting better and better and they sent Markus home Saturday February 4, 2023. He was so happy to be home, out of the hospital and back to sleep in his own bed.

Unfortunately, throughout the night Markus started feeling severe pain in his chest, back and legs. We had to bring Markus right back to the hospital the next afternoon.

Markus currently has 3 blood clots, one in each lung and one in his right groin area. The blood clot in his groin is affecting the blood flow to his lower leg area and he will be undergoing emergency surgery within the hour. Please continue to pray for Markus and his journey to healing!

We are blessed and grateful to have our family, friends, churches, schools and our community come together for Markus. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!! ❤️

Markus Martinez suffered a major heart attack Thursday, November 17, 2022. The doctors were able to remove some of the blood clot; however, they couldn’t remove all of it. Unfortunately, Markus now has permanent heart damage to his left Ventricle. His heart is only functioning at 12-15%, and the cardiologists from UCHealth are suggesting a potential heart transplant. It is unsure why this happened but the family is staying positive and doing their best to give Markus the best treatment.

The family is so loved, and many of you have asked what you can do to help; the funds will help Markus with medications, a possible heart transplant and any other unexpected medical expenses. The family is so grateful for all your help, prayers and support.
