Mark's cancer story:
On August 3rd, Mark went to the emergency room for what would become the first of many ER trips, multiple catheterizations, and ongoing urologist appointments.
After switching urologists due to schedule delays, a second urologist was able to provide a thorough exam and scheduled an emergency surgery for the next day. Surgery resulted in the removal of a large growth invading his bladder, consisting of a vascular tumor. On August 11th, pathology reports came back showing Mark has aggressive prostate cancer. Further scans have since revealed the cancer has spread into his left hip.
I have had the privilege of knowing Mark for over 15 years, having been blessed to call his daughter my wife. During this time I have repeatedly seen Mark give of his strength, time, energy, and financial resources to help others, often to the point of painful self sacrifice. I have known him to be a man of character and prayer, willing to stand and suffer for what he believes is good, right, and of God, regardless of the personal outcome. While Mark has had the terrible privilege of walking loved ones through battles won and lost with cancer in the past, this time he needs our help.
As this diagnosis has blindsided the family, your encouragement and prayers continue to be incredibly valuable. At this time, Mark has limited ability
to leave the home due to healing after surgery & chemo complications, so continuing and pursuing additional work outside of the house has been severely impacted. While Mark struggles through cancer with chemo, radiation, and additional surgery concerns, we can help alleviate the immediate financial burdens surrounding home and medical costs coming in.
