Cancer & Housing Support

Where to begin....both my parents are retired, mid 60's, and deep down loving people. Other the past 7 years they both have gone through various ups and downs. Through this time I thought okay things can't get any worse. I felt confident life would improve for my parents. Then my dad was diagnosed with cancer, melanoma. My mom forced into retirement with lingering injuries from her career as an ICU nurse. Currently my dad has gone through another surgery to remove the infection from the biopsy on his groin. Both my parents in the past week have been to the ER relying on close family/friends for support. Luckily the cancer has seemed to subside but the medication has taken a chuck out of his livelihood, I honestly thought my dad was going to pass away and I wouldn't get to say goodbye as I live 1400 miles away. I am getting the feeling things are looking up again but I am worried. My parents are currently going through bankruptcy as well. So besides illnesses sucking them dry so are the mortgage companies. I just want to provide some peace of mind for the time being so my dad can get well enough to substitute teach again and my mom can go back into nursing in some fashion. The main goal I have is to save my childhood home and cut the medical cost for my parents. The situation is as urgent as next month as they are expected to pay $1800 a month which is over half of their monthly income. Any amount at all is helpful and any kind words just as much as sharing this to other people would be appreciated.
