First I want to say thank you for your incredible outpouring of love, positive words & testimonies, encouragement, sympathy, the goofy stories & memories of days of old with &/or about Mark. The Facebook posts, the news coverage, the calls, texts, messages have just blown me & my family away!
Mark’s life was tragically cut short by a lady who chose to drink, alone, while driving. She went wrong way on I-94: westbound in the eastbound lanes. This ended in a head on collision with Mark.
Mark died instantly. As usual, the drunk survived with very minor injuries.
Mark cleaned up his substance abuse and had been clean for over 3 years. He had become his “old” self again. Mark was caring & kind & giving & thoughtful of others. (Although we may all agree he m ig h t have talked a little too much with a dash of TMI !) We talked & text a lot. We did lunch once or twice a week.
Damn- I miss him.
I know ya’ll miss him too. He had an awesome presence in Minneapolis’ Metal Music community.
He was a guitarist for Gorrified.
He was an NYMD prospect.
He had a zillion friends on Facebook.
One Memorial will be at The Underground NE Mpls
Friday December 9th approx 7pm.

DON’T drink & drive!
Let’s get some legislation to do SOMETHING (like spikes, more signage, painted arrows on the exit ramp, etc! To try and prevent this from recurring over & over & over again.
