Markey Family

Hi! My name is Dani Burch, and I am from Elk Rapids Michigan. Jen Markey is my best friend of nearly 20 years, and Will is her husband. This is the story of the curveball that life has thrown at them. All funds will be transferred from my account, directly to theirs, and used for the medical and living expenses that this injury has caused, and will continue to add up while he is out of work... On Monday, September 10th, Will Markey suffered a violent seizure that in turn caused him to fall and break 5 vertebrae in his back.  Believe it or not, this happened to him just a couple of years back as well!  To have such a thing happen is traumatizing, to have it happen twice is devastating! The good news is this: They know now that he needs treatment to control what is a reocurring problem.  He is in great hands, and will receive amazing treatment.  While the road to healing will be long and difficult, he will not require surgery.  They are surrounded by the love of their family and friends to get them through this difficult time. The bad news, is that on this long path of healing, Will is going to be out of work for several months.  This leaves the financial burden on his wife Jen, to work and bring in enough to cover not only the normal expenses of a family of 4, but the huge medical expenses that will incur, as well as to get them through the holidays and their daughter's birthdays, all of which will take place within the next five month's.  This is just too much for her to bare alone. It is SO incredibly important for this wonderful family to know how much they are loved.  It is even more vital for them to be able to focus on healing, without the stress of finances weighing them down. Whatever you can do.  Whatever you can donate, however often you can share this, however many prayers and good vibes you can send.  They will ALL help!  They are such a hard working, loving, wonderful family.  From the bottom of my heart, from the bottom of their hearts I am sure, THANK YOU!
