In August 2014, Mark began getting sick... A hard worker and business owner he rarely missed work or allowed anything to slow him down. So when his wife noticed him losing momentum and not getting any better, she forced him to go see a doctor. In less than four months Mark went from being the sole provider of his family of five to being wheelchair bound and incapable of even being left alone with their three active young boys. Boys he coached at football, swung on the backyard swings, and was never too big to tumble on the floor with, were left to watch in shock and horror as their daddy couldn't even get out of a chair. The doctors at first diagnosed him with Lupus, but as time went by and his situation worsened they knew a cancer must be involved. Probing his lungs they found multiple tumors, yet could do no surgery or begin any chemo due to his worsening health. It is now November 19th and Mark has been released to die at home with round the clock hospice care. He cannot breath on his own, his body is swollen with infection, and he is left to wait until his soul is finally released. It could be minutes or possibly days, but his family is by his side loving him for every second that's left.
Having owned his own small business setting up events like weddings and conventions with tents, tables and chairs, he had no insurance and lived like most of us; from week to week. We are setting up this account hoping to help his wife Megan and their three young boys make it through this trying time and the even more traumatic time that will come after his passing.
Please share this cause and consider helping a family truly in need. Thank you.
