Fundraising for Mark Oman's Sudden Passing.

Community fundraising to alleviate the financial hardship due to Mark Oman's unexpected passing. On the day after Christmas, life for Mark's family and the love of his life, Amber Kalish, was changed forever. There is this huge gapping hole in so many hearts today. The loss of his always present and endlessly charismatic smile and heart felt support will be greatly missed.

As with all communities when tragedy strikes, we want to help fix it. Of course, in this situation, there is no fix. There is no way to lift the incredible sense off loss that is being carried today. There is no way to bring Mark back. The grief we all feel is magnified by knowing how crushingly hard this is for Amber. So with the desire to "do something" tangible, I'm asking for donations. It's important for Amber to be able to grieve over the next few months without worrying about missed shifts at work compounded by funeral costs, rent and covering daily expenses.

It's going to take some time to feel capable of getting back into full-time life and figure out how her financial life, without Mark, is going to work. She'll get there, but we can help her. We can lift her the way Mark lifted everyone he knew and loved, by sharing the burden in the ways he could.
