Mark Niewald is one of my classmates from Pinecrest High School Class of 1980. His apartment caught fire today August 17th, in Southern Pines, when he wasn’t home and he lost his beloved cat, Calli. Firefighters saved Ember, his Dalmatian, who survived with minor medical attention. We are hoping to raise some money to help Mark replace his belongings and get established in another apartment.
