In Memory of Mark Lockie

Mark Lockie passed away at Dorset County Hospital on Saturday 30/03/2024 following a short fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

mark devoted over 45years of his life to serving Lions International with first the Madang Lions Club in Papua New Guinea then later the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club.

throughout that time he was involved with many club activities that have benefited local communities and he has contributed to raising hundreds of thousands of pounds to the clubs.

In Mark’s final few days of life at Dorset County Hospital the Nurses and Doctors of Fortuneswell Cancer ward cared for Mark and left a lasting impression on all his family. They cared for him with compassion and enabled his direct family to spent his last moments alive with him. They were amazing.

Mark Lockie’s funeral will be held at the Weymouth Crematorium on Tuesday 30th April at 1pm.

After his death his family would like this to continue so we have decided to support 2 organisations
