Mark Cox Medical Expense Relief Fund

Donation protected
Back in January of 2019 our father, Mark Cox, was diagnosed with cancer of his vocal cords. As some of you may have noticed from talking to him, he had struggled with a weakening voice for about a year before his diagnoses. Three specialists tried to pinpoint the unknown vocal cord problem. Finally a biopsy confirmed our fears of cancer. His team of doctors came up with a treatment plan that consisted of 7 chemotherapy sessions and 35 radiation treatments over a 7 week span.  Anyone who has had or has known someone with cancer knows that the treatments can take a toll on your entire body. He completely lost the ability to eat and drink due to the swelling in his throat. In total he lost 20 pounds and had to have two feeding tube surgeries and also make a few visits to the ER in between treatments. His voice also diminished down to a whisper and combined with the extreme fatigue, he had to stop working. Since his treatments have ended, things have slowly improved week by week, but with the end of treatment begins the start of medical bills. That’s where we ask for your donation to help relieve some of the stress that comes with those bills. Any donation will be greatly appreciated no matter the amount. If you can't donate we ask that you share this with others either on social media or through word of mouth. Thank you for your time and donation.
