In early September, Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4, Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma of the Spine with necrosis. We have high hopes that after intense schedule of chemo treatment for at least 5 months, he will be on his way to a cure.
Mark is being treated at the Emory Winship Cancer Center in Atlanta with Kristen by his side through this transformation. Mark is going through what he refers to as a transformation. He does not consider this a fight against cancer, in fact, he feels this entire process is an opportunity for change.
For those of us fortunate to meet, know, love and be loved by this spectacular duo know that this transformation will happen through every ounce of their capability. We know Mark's charm will likely be doing it's magic offering the staff at the Emory Winship cancer center belly rolling laughter and blushing smiles.
These two have traveled the world together, cultivating relationships with their incredibly kind and caring spirits. Their vivacious and passionate way of life is infectious. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly challenging time for Mark and Kristen, and they've had to immediately close their chapter on Namaste. It's time for our global tribe to rally together to provide any emotional and financial support we can offer for Mark and Kristen.
Our goal is to provide means of support for Mark and Kristen. We also want to provide an avenue for friends and family, like us, who live further away, to pitch in (the way their local community does with food, transportation, etc.)
These are people who have given much light and joy to all of us, and now is our time to return the favor. Let your waves of love, generosity and friendship wash over them. Please share and help us get the word out.
