Mark Austria's recovery Fund

Mark Austria’s family, friends, Station 49 family, SFFD family, EMS and hospital families, greater first response community, and all others who are willing to help a good man:

While on duty, our friend Mark Austria survived a significant cardiac event two nights ago.  He is currently in an outstanding hospital with the best nurses and doctors taking care of him. He, like most medics, is stubborn and requires cajoling and convincing in order to receive help when needed- his job has always been to take care of others.  Starting with his fantastic partner at work, he has been able to survive a significant, life altering event.

Mark has always been a solid paramedic who has been committed to taking care of the people in the City and County of San Francisco. Day in and day out, he has served a population that has been forgotten, ignored, and marginalized. He has looked for neither accolades nor recognition.  It is our duty to take care of a man and his family who has served us in good faith for so long.

In the moments after a disaster there is always a momentum of people willing to help. As the weeks pass, there are always residual challenges that do not fade despite the initial enthusiasm. Mark and his family could use your support during his time of recovery and you can help with stability during an uncertain future that may lay ahead with unknown obstacles.

Thank you for your support on behalf of all those that love Mark and his family.
