Maritza Celeste Rodríguez

Amigos, familiares y conocidos aquí les  presentaron a mi querida suegra Maritza Celeste Rodríguez, oriunda de Caracas, Venezuela.
Quienes conocemos a Maritza sabemos que no hay ni una pizca de egoísmo en ella. Siempre divertida con una sonrisa y positivismo incluso en los momentos más difíciles.

Maritza lleva más de un año luchando contra el cáncer que se ha extendido a diferentes partes de su cuerpo. Ahora mismo ella está en una etapa cuidado de hospicio en su casa donde recibe cuidados paliativos para aliviar sus síntomas, visitas regulares de doctores y servicios de enfermera.

La mayoría de nosotros teníamos experiencia en cómo las condiciones médicas, especialmente si no están cubiertas por seguros, pueden ser una carga.  En nuestro caso se trata más de hacer realidad sus deseos y llevarla a un lugar de descansó en su amada Venezuela.

Muchos de ustedes se han acercado a ofrecer su ayuda y pues por eso hemos decido hacerlo de este modo y por ello estaremos agradecidos eternamente. 

Friends, relatives and acquaintances introduced my dear mother-in-law Maritza Celeste Rodríguez, a native of Caracas, Venezuela.

Those of us who know Maritza know that there is not a trace of selfishness in her. Always fun to be around her  with a smile and positivity even in the most difficult moments.

Maritza has been battling cancer that has spread to different parts of her body for more than a year. Right now she is in hospice care at home where she receives palliative care to alleviate her symptoms, regular doctor visits and nursing services.

Many  of us had experience in how medical conditions, especially if not covered by insurance, can be a burden. Also, in our case it is making her wishes come  to take her to a resting place  in her beloved Venezuela.

Many of you have come to offer your help and for that we have decided to do it this way and for that we will be eternally grateful.
